Principal Message

I am very happy to take charge as Principal of Government Arts College for Women, Sivagangai on November 1st 2022 after being transferred from Government Arts College for Women Krishnagiri.  Government of Tamil Nadu has identified Sivagangai as one of the remote packets of educationally backward sector and started a Women’s Arts College to empower the women folk to elevate the standard of life by giving opportunity to get higher education. Ultimately this will beyond doubt lead to hold economically empowered women and change the scenario totally.

I have been awarded with Madanlal Kandal award in 2012 and Tamil Nadu State Government awarded with Tamil Chemmal award in 2017, besides I have published two poem collections, one story collection and a one book to my credit and now feel proud to be a part of this institution to share my expertise where we work and learn together to identify awareness to achieve potential and move towards sublime heights.  My main objective is to hone the students to be responsible, resilient and competent to face their future lives and become responsible citizens of our community at large.

Students are here trained by qualified professors to be creative and focused in their career and follow discipline combined with ethics in order to inculcate good virtues to uphold the society righteously. Students are also encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular competitions conducted by our College and other Universities and Colleges which help them to unleash their potential and build strong self-motivating and ethical mind sets.

MA., Ph.D.

The progress of the students are monitored through ward teachers and heads of the Departments which in turn ripens out to produce cutting-edge professionals. The state and centre offer funds to develop infrastructure facilities to match the recent needs of student’s employability competencies. I wish and pray that students develop themselves in par with the global standards equipped in intelligence quotient and emotional quotient to chisel their niche in the society and offer their resources to build a strong nation.
